Devlog Production Week 2

(Dylan Avila - Artist) So far, its possible for multiplayer by console controllers along with player colors so each player know who's who. We've discussed about having a minimum weaponry as secondary weapons and I've made five unique weapon designs along with power up concepts. (Concept Art will be posted soon in the Devlog) All that's left is to finish the sprites closer to resemble the character design in concept arts under GDevelop

(Mason Lester - Pixel art maker) Got the assets for the game so the players can see and experience playing. The pixel art that came from the concept art should be able to run smoothly in the game. Next thing is to see if there can be improvements with the pixel art , feedback from teammates and the audience.

(Victor Guevara -  Design Producer) Our team's goal for the previous week was to build a prototype of the game using everything that we agreed would make it into the final version of the game. We also discussed the feedback we received during last week's presentation and what we could do with it. Since then, we've been able to construct a prototype of our game in the GDevelop engine thanks to the help of our code producer. Throughout the process, I was in continual contact with them to help them try ways to put together the mechanics or find alternatives. The goal for the group in my area for next week is to continue working off the prototype while also discussing any feedback we will receive during the next class presentation and determining what needs to be changed if anything. As the design producer, I believe I was able to collaborate well with our coding producer to complete our prototype. We've been in communication since our previous class meeting and after our scheduled group meeting, and if he wanted clarification on anything to do with mechanics, I'd do my best to help. My goal, as it was last week, is to maintain frequent communication with my group to ensure that production goes smoothly. I'd like to help out with everything I can, whether it's working on the game's itch website or collecting music/effect assets for our game. And to accomplish these goals I will still have to continue to improve on the necessary skills to be able to assist anyone on my team who needs it.

(Ronny Santana - Code) - For the past week my team goal was to have a prototype game that could be playable. I accomplished it well had a lot of struggle with the cursor aiming with controller because there was a lack of tutorials on youtube but I did my research and found a game with the exactly mechanics named "Bullet Bunny" I wanted to do and tried to contact that developer without hope of he helping me but he actually did spare some time with me to help me get the aim with controller working, thanks to Penusbmic The goals for next week will be making a whole functional menu with controller since the one we have in our prototype right now is working only for mouse. I accomplished 3 player movements with cursor completely working, did a game over scene and currently working on a new menu. By next week I want to fully have a working menu and having a completely playable game for the first level. To accomplish these goals I will need to find tutorials and ask questions in discord so I can get through it. Me and my team play tested the 3 player moving with controllers. I wanted to learn if they liked the controllers of the game and feel comfortable without any type of bugs. my playtesters were my team members. I observe that they didn't like when a player fall down the map it doesn't come back up so they just die and they didn't like that. I asked them if they liked the controller movement, aim and the controller setup we have in the game right now. They did liked the controller setup I had and the feedback I got was that when the player falls down they can come back up in the center of the map but losing health every time they fall down. I did learn a lot it help me improve more my game and we will continue working on it and see what else we can do to make it playable and fun.
