Devlog Production Week 5


--ALPHA FEEDBACK--

The visitation in Game Design was a splendid opportunity to introduce our project for the students from a school, and when they played the game, they were interested with the core mechanics and challenge of Starbound Pixels. They did point out some things during the presentation such as the health, for 6 in each character seemed too long for them and must be reduced to the classic three lives, and the time limit was too long (though it tends to miscount before the last 20 seconds) and must be adjusted. Overall, the Alpha presentation went well and we got the information to adjust and improve the game before the second presentation.

(Dylan Avila - Artist) The pixel assets for the characters are imprinted and they look classy and represents astronauts (even though the models almost look like Among Us) and the added power ups are fantastic. The health is very useful when an ally is low upon health, and the damage up is wonderful to clear the abundance of enemies. The shield however has not been imprinted yet but I hope it'll be extra helpful for when you're surrounded all corners.
